Hebrew Free Loan Association of Miami

HFLA is a program of the Federation.

Since 1989, HFLA has been offering interest-free micro loans to Jewish individuals and families in need of short-term financial resources primarily in Miami-Dade and Broward County. Each loan disbursed by HFLA is an investment in the dignity and independence of many individuals and families in our Jewish community. During the past three decades, HFLA has disbursed over 650 loans totaling more than $2,000,000 and boasting a 98% repayment rate! HFLA is now a program of the Federation.

The committee meets 3 times a year from 12:00-2:00pm at the Federation building at 4200 Biscayne Blvd.

Additionally, board members are called upon, as needed, to participate in borrower interviews at Federation as applications are received.
