International Division Committees (Outreach, Fundraising and Events)

Miami is the most diverse Jewish community in America. It truly is a melting pot, where a variety of languages, customs and practices thrive. Located in Federation’s North Dade office, the International Division is where all these cultures come together to share their Jewish customs, traditions and values.

Our International Division introduces you to new acquaintances from Latin America, Brazil, Russia, Israel, France and many other countries, while celebrating the cultural richness of Jewish life in Miami. Get involved and immediately begin volunteering to serve the needs of our Jewish brothers and sisters at home and abroad.

The Executive Board, which meets 3-4 times per year, includes the international chair, campaign chair, all the committee chairs and others leaders that have been involved in the past, that are committed to GMJF, and want to take on leadership roles in the International Division, Federation and the Community.  Their responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and engaging leadership
  • Recruiting for GMJF events
  • Assisting with campaign
  • Planning and implementing the calendar

Executive Board members are required to:

• Participate in at least two Executive Board meetings

• Participate in at least one phonathon

The Campaign Committee is comprised of the most committed solicitors and is led by the campaign chair. This committee plays a crucial role supervising the campaign and creating specific fundraising strategies for Latins, as well as international donors from other countries. Their responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with annual campaign needs
  • Increasing the number of donors
  • Increasing the number of dollars raised
  • Identifying leadership for campaign events.

The Outreach Committee focuses on planning and implementing social opportunities to engage and expose more prospective donors to the work of GMJF.

The Education Committee focuses on offering content related to Israel, the Holocaust and/or antisemitism with excellent speakers to enrich the community.

The International Fed Getty’s Group aims to maintain and enrich our relationship with a select group of donors who want to have a closer relationship with the organization.
