PJ Library Committee

The Committee is comprised of volunteer leadership representing parents and Community Partners (Synagogues, Schools and JCC’s) and serves to support and enhance the subscription program by creating engagement opportunities that bring subscribing families together. 

Certain Committee members are also assigned the role of liaison to specific Community Partner organizations. They are vital partners to ensuring good communication, making opportunities available and leveraging the impact that PJ Library can have throughout the community.  

Committee Members are expected to: 

  • Attend a minimum of two annual Committee meetings
  • Chair at least one PJ Library event 
  • Encourage friends and community members to sign-up for PJ Library
  • Help publicize PJ Library events 
  • Participate in community-wide PJ Library events

Additionally, Community Partner Liaisons are expected to: 

  • Coordinate PJ Library activities at their Community Partner organization
  • Communicate regularly with Community Partner professionals around local and community-wide PJ Library activities and opportunities
  • Share PJ Library info and event invitations with other affiliated families 
  • Help plan local PJ Library programs for the Community Partner 
  • Recruit volunteers to help implement programs
