2023 Jewish Incubator Grants

• Alper JCC: Kehillah Shabbat is a community Shabbat program for families whose children attend the Alper Jewish Community Center’s Early Childhood Development Center. 

• Center for Advancement of Jewish Education (CAJE): Miami Jewish Day School Robotics Program, which began five years ago with the support of the Science Center in Federation's partner city Yerucham, helps Jewish day school educators bring science and technology into elementary and middle schools classrooms.

• Chabad of the Venetian and Sunset Islands: Chabad Young Professionals of Miami Beach offers social events, spiritual gatherings and educational experiences for young professionals on Miami Beach.

• Chai Lifeline: I-Shine is an after-school program that offers emotional support (one-on-one support), peer support (meeting other children experiencing similar situations) and practical support (help with homework, meals) to families impacted by serious illness.

• Congregation Dor Chadash: Caring Caravan for Jewish Seniors of South Dade provides educational and social components to isolated Jewish seniors and vulnerable individuals of South Dade, including weekly Shabbat meals, Zoom classes, wellness check phone calls and The Intergenerational Club, pairing Religious School students with seniors for help with their studies.

• Eshel: Eshel in Miami offers support to Orthodox LGBTQ+ Jews and their family members and provides information and awareness building for community leaders and educators.

• Israel Scouts: Shevet Barak holds weekly activities, year-round enrichment seminars, sleep-away camp experiences and community events for Hebrew-speaking childrens in greated 3-12 in the Greater Miami area, led by a head counselor (Rakaz).

• Israeli American Council: 
Keshet is a weekly program for children of Israeli families, 4-8 years old, which focuses on Hebrew language, Jewish and Israeli identity. 

• JAFCO Children’s Ability Center: The Lifeline Program provides intensive support services and 24/7 crisis help to families of children with special needs in the Miami Jewish community through a licensed social worker.

• Keshet: LGBTQ Equality and Inclusion promotes LGBTQ inclusion work in the Miami Jewish community through expanded education and training offerings.

• Michael-Ann Russell JCC: Cooking for the Holidays offers cooking classes for women that revolve around the cycle of Jewish holidays, incorporating educational components.

• National Council of Jewish Women: Building Bridges Joining Hands provides anti-bias curriculum connecting students of diverse backgrounds, cultures and religions through Zoom technology.

• Nicklaus Children's Hospital Foundation: Celebrating Jewish Spirituality and Religious Diversity serves the spiritual needs of Jewish patients and families with Shabbat and holiday kits, holiday craft tables and celebration of Religious Diversity Month.

• Shiranit Corporation: Shiranit offers logistical and spiritual support during the shiva period of Jewish mourning to grieving families.

• Torahology: Torahology is a virtual training platform offering a community of Torah-based learning and open dialogue.

• Welcome Moshiach: The Center provides social, emotional and spiritual support and programming for at-risk Jewish men ages 17-30.

• Yiddishkayt Initiative: YI LOVE Play Readings is a year-long series of dramatic readings highlighting Jewish life, culture, language and history.

Funding for 2023 grants is provided through Annual Federation/UJA Campaign. Organizations and agencies seeking Incubator Grants may inquire about next year’s grant cycle by contacting [email protected] or 786-866-8498.
